Welcome to Rock Hills Church! We are a Bible-based, non-denominational Christian church located in Bowling Green, KY. We are a multi-ethnic and multi-generational church made up of babies and children, students and professionals, singles and married couples. Our Sunday service is casual and friendly with meaningful worship music, relevant teaching from the Bible, and a fun kids’ program.

The beginnings

We started in the fall of 2013 as a diverse team of 39 people sent from Vine Church in Carbondale, IL. Planting Rock Hills Church in Bowling Green is the culmination of an idea that has been in the minds and prayers of Vine’s leaders and overseers for a number of years.

Our desire is to be a local church where people can learn about Jesus in a way that deeply impacts and changes their lives. At Rock Hills, we are centered on Jesus, and hold to the truths of the Bible passionately. Our vision is to be a church that makes disciples and plants many more healthy local churches in university cities all over the Mid-South and beyond.

So Why Are We Called Rock Hills?

In the fall of 2012 our lead pastor, Steve Dame, was praying and asking Jesus what this new church would be called. During this period of time Psalm 121:1-2 repeatedly stood out.

“I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.”
